I am working onb a file that after a certain date, it will prompt the user to update the information for the new year. What I need is a way for the code that prompts the user to update itself as well.

i am using the following code.

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
If Date < #1/31/2007# Then Exit Sub
MsgBox "Rollover now required." & Chr(13) & "Press 'OK' to begin rollover process." & Chr(13) & "Press 'CANCEL' to continue as normal.", vbInformation + vbOKCancel, "Rollover Notification"
If vbCancel Then Exit Sub

I need the year to increase by one when the user updates the file.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Try storing your date (i.e. 1/31/2007) in an unused cell somewhere in your workbook and have your Workbook_Open macro call this cell for the value (instead of hard-coding it in the macro).

Then you can have some code that will update this cell's value when the file is updated to increase it by a year.
