so i have this set up on excel. and im trying to count how many January data point in a year. how can i do this? i've attached a picture to better explain what i'm doing. i think the picture will sum it quite well.

Thanks, i guess i wasn't really clear.

I wanted it to be like

1985 has x number of data point for January, x data point for February. etc
1990
1991
so on.
