I have a large sheet of information that needs to be filtered both by rows and by columns. After looking for a while on the internet I'm guessing that the only way to do this is to use a macro.

the sheet contains alternating rows of information for 2010 and 2011. I need to filter the data by rows, and simultaneously filter it by year (column) Is there any kind of macro that can do this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
You can use a View for each year so only the correct columns are visible.

Is the year for each column in a particular row? A macro could be used to hide the column if a particular year was in the column.

If not, please provide a list of the columns to hide for each year.
