I am using Excel along with a mail merged word document to print entry sheets for our quilt show. Each entry needs to be printed as they arrive therefore; I enter the information into an Excel spreadsheet (List.xlsx) then toggle to the word document (Report.docx) that is merged with List.xlsx. I have a macro that I can then employ that advances the mail merge preview by 1 and prints the entry form. Then for the next entry I toggle back to Excel.
Is there a macro or VBA instruction that will complete the toggle from excel to word, complete the macro and toggle back to excel?

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Excel Redirect used to have a tutorial page on this subject. The last time I read it was eight years ago.

That was a long time ago. I cannot remember exactly what I saw. What I do know is once I have seen the page, I used the info on that page and wrote two VBA programs, one sending cell values, strings, from Excel to Word and had Word calculate the length of the strings, the other doing the same thing but from Word's side. That was the only time I ever wrote programs which interacted with Excel and Word. I don't think I can write the same program now. I don't think I can understand those programs I wrote though I still have them.

"had Word calculate the length of the strings"

I should have added "and returned the length to Excel."

Well you tried and for that I thank you. Since I do not really understand VBA, I was looking for something that was pretty explanatory.

Thanks again for your thought.
