Need Schedule Template

Hi there,

I am searching for a template for scheduling work for my lawn mowing business.

I have customers that are mown every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks, every 4 weeks, casually and once off. I'm looking for an excel or access scheduler that essentially has a weekly view that I can add, for example, one of my 2 weekly customers in on a Tuesday which will auto populate that same Tuesday every 2 weeks in the future; an important feature in this would be that if for some reason I needed to do a one-off change, say its a public holiday on that Tuesday and that week I need to do it on the Wednesday instead then I can do that one off change without affecting the future dates; perhaps a "would you like to perform this action for future events" button.

Now I'm all about not reinventing the wheel so if there is something that will do this for me in excel/access already then I would be grateful, however, if I need to build one then I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. My skill level for excel would be in the low to mid range of intermediate (I understand formula's and macro's, though wouldn't be able to build a macro off the top of my head), and for access I have not used it before, though I'm told it is similar to macro's in excel.

If I am to build one then some inspiration on how to start would be fantastic, I've "started" about 5 templates and deleted them all. My idea for sorting the 2, 3 and 4 weekly is the use of colours, if the cell is red then repeat every 2 weeks, if blue then 3 and green then 4, or something like that?

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Why not use the "Outlook" wheel?
Excel would have the least expectation compared to Access. The repeating function I think is huge key for you and Outlook does well. You could establish Outlook local client as a PIM (Personal Information Manager) or if you don't have the client, OWA (Outlook Web App) is close. Free account with the basic Web apps.
