Need To Extract Text

I need to extract text from a cell...it has numbers followed by a ";" then text. Ex. 1234-1234; hello

I want to extract the hello to another cell.

do a Data - Text to Column and use Delimiter ";"

I am sorry but I don't understand how to do this with data already in the spreadsheet.

ok so you have this

Excel Workbook
	J
1	Before
2	1234-1234:hello
Sheet1

so then you use the Data - Text to Columns - Delimited - mark semicolon in step 2 and click finish

	J	K
1	After
2	1234-1234	hello
Sheet1
