need to make a "IF, OR" statement

need to make a formula that states the following:

if any one of the cells in cell range A1 thru G7 contains either the letter "L" OR the Letter "U" then cell I7 will equal the comment "No Card"....If the letter "L" or "U" are not in any of the cells then the cell I7 will show text Approved.

Perhaps:

=IF(COUNTIF(A1:G7,"L")+COUNTIF(A1:G7,"U"),"No Card","Approved")

The >=1 is not necessary because 0 will automatically equate to FALSE
