I have two excel workbooks, one large mailing list, and a smaller one. In days past, someone combined the two, but not by consolidating, but actually typed in the info. Now, the people on the smaller one need to be removed from the larger one. How do I do this?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
You could do a lookup formula on the larger list, looking up the name on the smaller list. You could then filter the lookup list by looking for names that do not =N/A. This would give you all the names that would be eliminated from the first list and could be deleted. After deleting from the first list you could then remove the blank lines.
