I have a nested IF Statement that if a single cell has one at of information. For example:
=IF(A1="YES",
IF(AND(B2="OLD",B3="DOG"),"OLD DOG",""),
IF(A1="NO",
IF(AND(B2="YOUNG","CAT"),"YOUNG CAT",""),))

The formula isn't that simple but it gives the basic premise of what my issue is. My issue is that if A1 is YES then if reads the nested IF under the YES but if A1 is NO it returns #N/A and I cannot figure out why. Can anyone assist me in why this may not work.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
=IF(A1="YES",
IF(AND(B2="OLD",B3="DOG"),"OLD DOG",""),
IF(A1="NO",
IF(AND(B2="YOUNG","CAT"),"YOUNG CAT",""),))

You mean B3="CAT" ??
