Hi every one this is just an Excel 2007 question. I feel good that with a little though I got this to work, with out asking for to much help. My question is How do I get the commas in the correct location in the answer?

=VALUE(COLUMNS(1:1)*ROWS(A:A))

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hello,

If I understand correct...

Right click
select format
Choose number with thousands seperator checkbox ticked

or

Ctrl+ Shift+!

The short answer that comes to mind is not really.

It can be done via VBA which takes some programming code...

To my knowledge a formula or function, can not change things like cell color or cell format.

To sum it up, it can be done... just not with a formula.
