I have a spreadsheet with 600 lines of data split up into three columns: 1. Code 2. Description 3. Quantity. I now have a revised sheet with 1200 lines (600 are old & 600 are new). Can I use a query to compare the two sheets and show the lines that do not appear on both sheetsby the code column? And if so, how would I go about doing this?
Any help would be great, thank you

Hi

Use a formula like:

=MATCH(Sheet2!A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$600,0)

copied down on your revised sheet which will return a number if it finds a match on Sheet1 and #N/A if not. An equivalent on Sheet1, pointing at the data range on Sheet2, would also give those on Sheet1 not on Sheet2.

Hope this helps!
