I have a timesheet for work where I put total hours in A1.Then i need a formula in B1 to calculate ordinary hours i.e 8.
And in C1 I will have 50% overtime i.e hours between 8-12.And at last in D1 all 100% overtime hours over 12.
Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Check out ozgrid.com there are some good examples there, the one you want is called overtime.zip (I think) if not have a look. You will be able to incorporate what is displayed there into your own sheet

Need e-mail address. Will send you a version of my sheet (just completed) Thanks to all the NEET people on MrExcel. board. Take Note: There are three deferant ways to calculate time for these time sheets. 1. Normal 2. Floor 3. Ceiling. The last two will brake down time to Tenths or Hundredths and One Rounds Time Up. One does not. The Formula I used in my hourly break down was Thanks to Aladin Akyurek, quite a wile back. You can SEARCH this site for cblincoln43,to find it if you are not sure about sending me your e-mail address.
