I don't know a thing or maybe a little about excel but nothing about the formulas etc...i've seen posted here so please forgive my ignorance.

Windows XP Prof. MS Office 2003 Corp.

I need an excel doc that will have 9 rows that each cell needs to be limited in text and numbers so that it will all fit on a 8.5 x 11 printout landscape.

Some cells will be just numeric, others alpha, and lastly alphanumeric.

I feel lost ....thanks again for any help...

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
You have several options, the easiest of which may be:

Go to file --> page setup, select "landscape" orientation and select "fit to 1 page wide by 1 page tall"

If that doesn't look like you'd like, you can try adjusting the column widths (either click and drag the edge of the column header blocks (i.e. the gray letters at the top of the screen), or go to Format --> column --> width)

Let us know if that doesn't fix your problem.

Oaktree,
I have it so that it all prints out just fine. As long as no info is inputed into the cells. My issue is the content in each cell needs to be limited to so that it does not word wrap or push the next cell over and ends up chopping off the last cell. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the Board!

You can highlight the cells in question and goto Data-->Validation-->Allow-->Text Length then set your Minimum & Maximum criteria.

Hope that helps,

Smitty,
I must be doing something wrong...When I do the Data Validation its fine with Text but if I do just numbers lets say 14 numbers and hit enter this is an example of what I get (1.23457E+12 ) instead of the 14 digits I entered. Thanks for any help.
