no duplicate items

i have already enlisted help to create a macro and visual basic, but i now need help so i can add customers, which is the macro, but so there are no duplicate addresses so i cant add the same person twice, preventing me from duplicate customers,

any help will be appreciated

How are addresses entered then? Is this a manual entry into a single cell?

hi

addresses are entered manualy into the first page, they are then sent to the customer details page via macro with visual basic,

when a macro is clicked the details that will be entered into the cells are put into the customer database, how can i make sure there are no duplicates

I'd say that customer names and postcode would indicate a unique entry, wouldn't you? I assume that you are thinking you'd get duplicate names in different postcode areas ( like John Smith or some such )?

( Manual entry of address lines may lead to different entries that are supposed to be the same ... some companies spend fortunes on de-duplicating databases due to these kinds of differences. )
