No of times a Reference code appears on a worksheet

Were given a spreadsheet which needs to be cleared daily , If something is not cleared its reference number will appear twice on the sheet the following day.
I need to know if any ref numbers appear more than once and if more, how many times they appear. Thanks

As a couple of suggestions, you could try either a pivot table or using countif().
