Any idea how I can add a component to the toolbox when it is not listed in the component add-in window.

I can see the OCX file from within VB, but when I try to find it in Excel it does not show it or allow me to browse to the OCX. The OCX has been registered and so Windows does know about it.

What can I do to sort this out?

Cheers

Steve.

Steve,

I don't know too much about it but have you tried checking to see if the application object has been enabled in the Visual Basic Tools | References section, click help on the pop up box.

Once when I had a problem similar to the one you are describing I was asked to also check the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications Extensibility 5.3 button. This solved my problem...Hope it works also for you if its more involved than that you help goes beyond my abilities.

cheers for the help, problem sorted it was appearing somewhere in the middle of the components list with a different name to the one displayed in VB editor.

Only found this by going through each option in turn looking for the ocx name.
