Is there a way to hide formulas, so that when the cell containing the formula is selected the formulas are not displayed?

Any help will be appreciated.

you need to go to format cells and select protection
Tick hidden. Then protect the worksheet using tools, protection and the formula will be hidden.

If the worksheet is not protected you could always go to tools,options,show, and unclick the formula bar. But all anyone would have to do is re click it.
