Hi all,

Actually its the other way around, now you don't see it ... now you do! Let me explain.

I have a workbook that contains a number of worksheets and one chart object. As part of my opening routines I have hidden all of the menus (code cribbed from Dave Hawley's OzGrid site). So far, so good.

However, when I activate the chart object the main menu appears again. Whats that all about?

Any suggestions as to why this happens and, more importantly, how I can stop it.

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)

The Menu that appears is NOT the main menu bar (Worksheet Menu), it is the Chart menu bar.....remove it or disable it in the the normal way (Via your code)

Cheers Ivan,

That's been driving me mad.

How stupid do I feel that I just assumed it was the worksheet menu and didn't think of that?

Oh well, another lesson learned. Thanks again - I'll check it out tonight when I get home.
