hi excel gurus,

I was just wondering if someone could help me, i've the following formula that doesn't work:

Code:
=IF((DATEDIF(E36,TODAY(),"D"))<0,"On time")

It generates a #NUM! error when the date it's referring to is in the future

I hope someone can help me?

Thank you!!!!

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hi

No need to use DATEDIF, just use:

=IF((TODAY()-E36)<0,"On time")

Thank you for helping Firefly! It works fine for the date in the future however it states FALSE when it should be showing the number of days for remainder cells?? i.e dates that are in the past

Please can you help??
