Number of Characters

Can you define a set number of characters in a cell, so that you can import the data into an Access DB with a set number of characters?

Yes, but you need to provide some more details.

Do you want to limit the number of characters on entry (is it text or a number)? Do you want to change the cell values after the fact? If so, do you want to do it in place (with VBA) or what? Does it need to be filled with a character to get to that length, can it be less than that length? etc.
