I have a column that $ values. When I go to sort from A-Z or Z-A nothing is correct. Yes I've already formatted the cells to number values, Currency, and General. Nothing works. Please help!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Applying a format to a cell or cell(s) as a number, doesn't necessarily mean the cell(s) actually contain a number.

They are probably "Numbers Stored As Text"

Try highlighting the column, Data - Text To Columns - Deliminated - Finish.
