Numbers that start as text until I F2 then turns into a numb

Hi I have some downloaded data the numbers are in one column but appear on the left hand side of the cell as if it were text.

If I F2 on a cell and press enter, it turns it into a number.

How can I get them to all turn to numbers quick, without editing each cell?

Hi jkchild

Write the number 0 in a cell

Edit>Copy

Select the range with the numbers as text

Edit>Paste Special>Add

Hi jkchild:

Select all the entries ... and do DATA|Text_to_columns ... then ENTER

all the numbers that were text tntries woulbd become true numbers.
