Hey,
I use the below code to set the variable "strDoc" to a file name:
This gets me just the file name, so the variable would be something like strDoc = "Shareholder Letter.docx" or some other name ending in the traditional file extension.
I'm wondering if and hoping that there's syntax available that will allow me to use that same variable but derive it's folder path (not including the file name). So, I'd hope for something like strDoc.FullPath or something would work.
I use the below code to set the variable "strDoc" to a file name:
Code:
With Application.FileDialog(msoFileDialogFilePicker)
.Show
If .SelectedItems.Count = 0 Then
GetFolderPath = False
Else
strDoc = .SelectedItems(1)
End If
End With
This gets me just the file name, so the variable would be something like strDoc = "Shareholder Letter.docx" or some other name ending in the traditional file extension.
