obtain the month number for next month

I am trying to obtain the month number for next month based on the current month. I have the current code that is not working.

nextmonth = UCase(Format(Date + Day(Date), "mmm"))

can anyone help? it should be an easy one but I could not find anything in a search on this site.

nextmonth = UCase(Format(DateSerial(Year(Date), Month(Date) + 1, Day(Date)), "mmm"))

If it is the month number[b/] you want you could use this.

nextmonth = Month(DateSerial(Year(Date), Month(Date) + 1, 1))
