Hi
Why DateDif() is hidden, if it is only function that calculate number of month between 2 date

a1= 1/1/2019
a2= 1/1/2020
a3= datedif(a1,a2,"m")

Is there any other way to use other function in excel to do that? not hidden function. Thank you

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
I just want to know why Microsoft did not unhide it since it is very useful and the example above is a proof. Thank you all

I don't work for Microsoft, so I really cannot say for sure. Maybe some legal issue, if it is a holdover from LOTUS 1-2-3, and isn't their creation.
They have gotten in trouble before for taking credit for other's creations...
(For example, years ago, you used to be able to update Access from Excel via linked tables, until they lost a lawsuit, since they were using functionality that they did not create).
