Excel 2007 has a nice feature allowing backward compatibility with the "Office 2003 Access Keys". The problem is, with this active, I may never learn the new set of shortcut keys.
I suppose I'll assume there is no way to turn them off.
Seems silly to provide a new set of shortcut keys, and not provide a way for longtime users to "wean off" of the old keys. Sounds like a recipe for backwards compatibility issues for at least another 10 years.
If I could turn them off, and on, whenever I pleased then I am sure I could break the old habits, but don't ask me to try and change those habits once I get too old .
If you go to the MS site you can download a Flash application that shows you where the new fetures are. Pick teh menu item and the animation shows teh ribbon equivalent.
