I have to start using an application that is an Add-in to Excel that will not work with Excel 2010, only with 2007. (Some stupid SAP Tool) I do NOT wish to give up my File menu as well as other improvements to Excel and Office. Is is possible for Excel 2007 (would not need entire office 2007) to co-exist with Office 2010? Thanks.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately the folks in IT do not want to set up any virtual OS nor do they wish to disable Terminal Services. So I am pretty much screwed!

Any chance you can load it as a program for a guest user on your cpu?

Not sure if it would work that way, but a thought.

I will ask the IT guys but I am betting they won't want to even try that one. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Aren't 2007 and 2010 the same interface why?

eg they use the ribbon

Or is it you don't want to change to either?

I like 2010 and do not wish to have to revert back to 2007. However an Add-in for SAP ERP Software only works with 2007, not 2010. That is my problem.

What do you mean exactly?

What in 2010 won't you have in 2007?

For one thing I won't have the "File" button. There are other improvements I prefer not to have to do without.

I've had multiple versions coexisting on machines without terminal services disabled for quite a while. What does it do when you try to install?
