ok I think I have it

I named the data total.
=VLOOKUP(A2,total,2,FALSE)
this one seems to be working ok but I need to hide the total and put it in column IO that way if I need to insert column it wont delete the totals.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
