Does anyone know of a free OLAP tool that easily works with Excel that I can download?

Thanks,
Jim

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
What kind of DB (e.g., Oracle, Essbase, etc...) is it? I'm not an expert with OLAP DBs...

Perhaps this will help: MS Search

I am not using a live DB. I have the data stored in Excel, and I just wanted to dump the info into cubes in order to slice and dice. It would be nice if the OLAP tool had a proprietary DB that I could just dump the data into.

Thanks,
Jim

You want to slice and dice Excel data in an OLAP DB?

My opinion, use Excel or Access for this, preferably Excel, Access speaks to Excel very well, so it's better than the OLAP. But Excel's going to be the most user friendly of the three, generally speaking...

The OLAP should be used as the warehouse, not the cutting agent if the data’s already in Excel.
