Omit weekends on line chart

I have data which has only weekdays. This data is connected to a line chart but the chart shows all the days of the week including weekends. how do i get the chart to show only the weekdays?

This works in Excel 2003... I'm not sure if this is accessed a different way in previous versions...

Right click the chart and access the 'Chart Options' menu.

Click the 'Axes' tab and ensure that the radio button for 'Category' is checked (default is Automatic).

Your weekends should dissapear...
