One exercise - want answer in two worksheet

I am getting old - even older than I like to admit - I did this a couple of eyars ago and now forgot how to do it in Excel 2007.

I want to enter a number in Workseet 1 and then have it appear/linked so that it also appears in worksheet 2. If I rememebr correctly the first is to copy from worksheet 1, but can't remember how to get it to appear in worksheet 2 and change when I change the number in worksheet 1.

In Sheet2 A1 enter

=Sheet1!A1

I do not want duplicate sheets..
I want data in sheet 1 - then give the answer to the exericse and the data appear there. but I only wnat the answer to appear in sheet 2

Found the answser - I just did not thin (or long long enough) - what I wanted was in special and Pste Link.
