One of my workbooks is refusing to come when called!

I have been using the same "startup" folder for two years now. It contains 4 workbooks that need to open when Excel opens for my order spreadsheets to work properly. Suddenly, a few weeks ago, one of them fails to open when Excel starts, although the other three in the folder continue to obey my commands. What do you recommend I do with this recalcitrant workbook? It's too old to go over my knee for a good old fashioned spanking.:)

Naughty workbook!

I assume you've done all the normal checks ... is the file really there? Can you open the file normally without any error messages popping up?

Also check Help - About Microsoft Excel - Disabled items.

The file is there. I go to the "COMMON ORDERING FILES" folder (the one I ask it to look for on startup) and there it is - with the other three. I click it and it opens.
Thanks,
Nigel

Checked disabled items, and there it is! Enabled it, and it's working now. Just goes to show, you're never too thick to learn! Thanks guys. Feeling guilty now for being so hard on it. There it was, lying there disabled. :(
