I think this is a formatting question ( or could be something else and I'm just not seeing it). I'd like to display data as 1/x. So the numerator is always 1 and the denominator changes.
For example:
  • 200/ 1000 = 1/5
  • 2/5 = 1/10
  • 330,000/330,000,000 = 1/1,000
  • 403,000/330,000,000 = 1/819
Thank you
To clarify: I know the math to find the denominator, but not how to display it in the 1/x format.

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Have you tried selecting the column where you want to display the results and formatting it as Fraction? Select the entire column, or just a range in the column, then right click to get the pop up menu. Click 'Format cells', then under Number, select "Fraction" and click OK.

Thank you. That works for the format fractions up to 3 digits which is good for 1 out of 999, but not for more digits in the denominator . Which points out that I omitted a part of my question - making the solution versatile enough to go up to the one in a millions and hundreds of millions. Thanks again.
