Online Kill Switch for All my macros

Hi all,

Maybe I've been watching too many movies, but I am thinking of adding a code to my macros where it will obtain a value from the internet (where only I can modify) and based on that value, then the macro will either run or not run. That way, I can change the value remotely and all my macros won't run.

I have been looking at the possibility of uploading a file, and the macro will check if the file exists, if not it won't run. But I don't want to host it in any server, I prefer to have it in readily available options like Google Drive.

I am looking for a simple and easy solution that can I easily retrofit into my old macros. Any ideas? Thank you.

Regards.

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
there was code out there a while back to do that for MSAccess, which I had that with a value on a network would kick all users out automatically so I could change files, not see it for excel though. what you are proposing ensures that users must be internet live all the time
