Online xml feed from e commerece shop - Receiving a text instead of numbers from

Hi, hope you can help me out with this. I couldn't find any releveat thread here so if do so please link me there. Now my issue : I've got an online XML Import Connection from my e-commerce shop into Excel. It's a complete database of my orders and all products listed on my website. I use this to do some calculation of my profit etc. Now the problem is, that all prices that I am getting into Excel are formatted as a text and not as a number, thefore I can't work with it. I have tried few things, but with no success. Any idea ? Many thanks
