only calculate cells with numbers

I have a formula summing 2 cells. Sometimes one or both of the cells are #value, or something other than a number, which is normal. I would like my formula to ignore the cell if it is not a number and use the other, or if both are not a number, enter a 0 in the cell.

Suppose your two cells are A1 and A2 then you can try this formula

=SUMIF(A1:A2,"<>#VALUE!")

Try this (considering data is in A1 and B1)

=SUM(--IF(ISNUMBER(A1:B1),A1:B1))

Use Control + Shift + Enter instead of Enter
