Greetings,

I have a macro that runs perfectly when I step through it using F8 in the VBA Editor.
When I execute the macro normally it fails to run properly, but doesn't generate any errors.

Is there something common that causes this?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
If it accesses multiple workbooks or sheets, and you aren't using workbook/worksheet references, you might not actually be on the right one when a certain part of the code is run.

I recommend posting the code so we can see it and try to help you figure it out.

Solution
You were absolutely correct. I have 3 workbooks open at the point where the macro failed and the wrong one was active. After fixing that it runs perfectly, over and over, on different datasets.
Thanks for your time!
