Open a protected XL file

i have an XL protected File and forget the my password to open the file....

is there a way to open the file..........?
(The is mine, not owened by any ine else)

Only by buying special software or using someone who can supply this service. Do a web search to find - there are lots.

The link that Colin gave is only of use for removing workbook and worksheet protection which is really easy to crack - the file password is a bit more robust, though there are some links on this page for commercial software.

Before you pay for this software / service try this:

It does have it's limitations, but it's free and I have had some success with it.
