Hi All
I need to write within a macro, code where the user opens a user defined file. On a daily basis we pull in csv files from an external source for sales numbers, but unfortunately the way they name their files is almost completely random.

I need the user to go to the listing of all files in a particular directory, and then have the choice to open the one they need, before my macro then goes on to do other operations..

Thanks in advance

Hi

Have a look at the GetOpenFilename method:

Code:
strFile = Application.GetOpenFileName()

and use the returned value to open the file you want.

Hope this helps
