Hi,
Is it possible to have excel open a file that is not from microsoft (e.g. PDF) using a macro?

I have a number of PDFs in a folder that a user can refer to when filling out an worksheet. I thought it would be easier to just have a macro open the desired PDF if this is possible. Thanks.

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
A hyperlink helps me to a certain extent. The issue is, each month, a new set of PDFs is substituted for the old PDFs with new information and a new file name (ex. Asset 1 January sales, then Asset 1 February sales...etc). The folder is still the same each month, but the filename has slightly changed (to account for the current month).

I can store the filenames of the PDFs in my worksheet and have them updated each month to reflect the new names in the folder, but I don't know how to tell the hyperlink to look in cell A1 to get the new name of the file I want it to find. Does that make any sense?
