Hi All.

I have searched for a straight forward answer to this and can't find one.

Perhaps we can post a definitive answer here.

All I want to do is check if outlook 2007 is open when my excel 2007 workbook opens, and if it's not open (and ONLY if it's not) open it.

I have found code that opens an instance every time, so you end up with multiple instances, but not one that only opens outlook if it's not already running.

Thanks in advance!

If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
