I have a visual basic project (.vbp file) that I am trying to run. Does anyone know how I can open this file with Visual Basic inside of excel. I do not get the option to open a new project from the File menu.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Not that I know anything about VB, but wouldn't you have to Shell to the executable (.exe)? The .vbp file is just a text file, isn't it?

You can't open a VBP from within Excel's VBE because Excel VBA doesn't support the standalone VBP (VB) ie Excel has it's own project construct and that is The Actual Workbook.
What you have to do is;
1) run the VB application ... ie call the application from within Excel or
2) Recreate the project

To recreate you will need the bas, frm cls files and other dependencies.
For this open the VBP in an ascii editor (notepad) and have a look
