Opening an old workbook

Hi all,

I was wondering if the following is actually possible:-

I can open a file I have created previously today with VB using the following code with no problem:

strdate = Format(Now, "dd-mmmm-yyyy")
ChDir "E:\TAT"
Workbooks.Open Filename:= _
"E:\TAT\Report " & strdate & ".xls"

I would like to open a workbook from exactly 7 days ago from the same folder but I'm not sure if its possible.

Can anyone shed any light/help?!! Please?

Have you tried the following?
strdate = Format(Date - 7, "dd-mmmm-yyyy")

Try

strdate = Format(Now - 7, "dd-mmmm-yyyy")

Also, if you're going to specify the Path in the open command, like this..
"E:\TAT\Report " & strdate & ".xls"

then there's really no point in using
ChDir "E:\TAT"
