Opening colums to check data

I have been given a spreadsheet to enter various scores over a number of combinations. In the initial input everything goes as expected but when the data is then translated into a league things go out of sync.

Initially the league appears to be OK but after 30 entries there is a sequence of 8 lines where the individual is named but no values are shown against the names. The names are the last 8 alphabetically shown in reverse order.

There is then two rows where no games are shown as played but the other relevant values are shown. This is then followed by a further sequence where the values are correctly shown.

When I investigate matters as far as I can see everything appears to be correct in that all the formulas are correctly copied down each column. On checking the sheet I find that the input data is entered across columns A to AP. The league starts displaying from column BM.

How can I find the contents of the missing columns to see if I can spot anything obvious.

Your assistance will be appreciated as having started a large data entry I do not want to scrap everything and resort to pen and paper.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
I don't see how you expect people to help when you don't show any of the formulas that you are using.

The club member who was working with the programme died and I was asked to take over the recording of scores.

My problem is that as I stated there appear to be hidden information within the spreadsheet which I am unable to open and consequently am unable to show what is causing any problem.

On the surface of things everything appears to be in order but how a block of information is not properly being read is beyond me at the moment. Perhaps if I can find the missing columns I may be able to pass on information which would be meaningful. Until such time I am stuck

You say
in that all the formulas are correctly copied down each column
... aren't these the formulas that are being investigated?

In what way are you unable to open the hidden information? Are there passwords involved?

Everything that I can check appears to be OK. There is a large gap between the entered data in that columns AQ to BL do not display and I do not appear to be able to open them. The way I see it there is data in there that adds various field scores and presents the data in the final league table but I am unable to see whats there.

I am not too sure if these are locked or how it has been done. I was praying that someone could advise me how to view these columns. If they are password protected then I go on to plan B.

The way things are going I thing that I am going to have to give up on this programme and see what I can do to get round my difficulty.

If you can offer guidance on how I may open up these columns I will be happy to receive it. I can only hope that they are not locked out to me.

I've run into this before,

You can give this a shot -

select columns AP to BM, right click and select Unhide.

As I suspected all the data appears to be locked behind a password. I don't fell that it would be worth taking this any further.

I will abandon this post and see how I can create something to meet my needs myself.

Thanks for your assistance
