Opening hyperlinks to Email addresses in Outlook

Hopefully this is a simple one.

When I click an email hyperlink in Excel, it opens up Outlook, and I can then send an email.

However, my colleague using the same Excel spreadsheet does the same, it opens up her browser, even though it's clearly an email address, not a www. address.

I presume there must be a simple setting to change this, but can't find it. Can anyone help?

Also, if a hyperlink is created from a VLOOKUP, is there a formula to make it open up in Outlook when clicked?

Hi,

When you hover over the link it should show mailto:xxx@xxx?Subject='some text' for it to open in the mail program.
If it isn't doing it on one PC then I suspect Outlook isn't set up for it.

vLookup - it needs to have mailto: in it.
