I would like to be able to open a word document from a list in a scroll box in excel without closing excel. (Hyperlink closed excel when I tried that). Anyone know how to do this?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).

Hello Joyce, welcome to the board. I used a linked listbox with a double-click procedure like:

Private Sub ListBox1_DblClick(ByVal Cancel As MSForms.ReturnBoolean)
Dim wdApp As Object 'I'll use the late bind, slight perf. sacrifice
Set wdApp = CreateObject("Word.Application")
wdApp.Visible = True
wdApp.ChangeFileOpenDirectory "c:tempwordexample"
wdApp.Documents.Open Filename:=ListBox1.Value & ".doc"
wdApp.Activate
End Sub

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Nate
