Some time ago I was able to get a macro on here to make the options menu password protected. It worked but I decided not to use that macro.

Now the problem is that when I open any excel spreadsheet or even a blank one, it wont let me open the options menu and it tries to laod the origianl spreadsheet that is was written on.

I tried un-installing all of office and re-installing it, yet the same problem exists.

Excuse my language, but this is really pissing me off.

Anyone have any ideas ??????????????

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Find the original code, and alter it so it unprotects the options menu. I think somehow its still "protected",
If youre removing/reinstalling Office again, when it's removed you can have a look for all of possible documents which Excel uses and remove them if suspicious (ie deleting the office directory after uninstall)
good luck!

If I log in as a different user, Excel works like normal, therefore I must assume that there is a user file that controls the way excel behaves for each user. Does anyone know what that file is called and where to find it because I can just copy it over from one user to the other.
