Greetings all. I have been searching the boards and the net with no luck. I would like to send text data through Com1, but I can't make heads or tails of XMComm, MSCOMM32.OCX, or anything else I have seen. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to accomplish this? I tried putting MSComm32.ocx in my system32 directory, but have no idea how to get it to show up in excel.

I was able to get data transfer accomplished by setting up a printer on Com1, but our CAM program freaks out when a printer is installed and on that port, even if it is not the default printer.

Thank you in advance for any and all replies.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
