I need my IFERROR "0" to be replaced with my formatting which represents all zeros with a dash. However a dash "-" in an IFERROR seemingly doesn't equal a zero in that my formulas that depend on that cell will #VALUE out....THANKS!!!!!!!

If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Reading your question correctly.

0 is not equal to - (dash)

That is correct, so i expect a #value as result.

So what is your problem?

Change the number format of the cell rather than changing the formula. Unless your formula really is IFERROR(...,"0") in which case you want IFERROR(...,0)
