Packet verification

I work for a printing place and we have a bunch of jobs that come out with barcodes. I am needing to fide a way were I can scan each one in, and as it logs a new one looks to see if it’s a double or not on the master list.

If it is a double or not a master list I need for it to do a pop up so you can not scan. Any help were I can find some good information on doing that would be great.
